As a long time Gunbot user the early versions had no GUI for Linux versions and reading through the log files was not useful to see whats going on. So I started working on the Gunbot-Monitor (often just called "gmon") to list information I wanted to see in a form my brain was able to understand. 🙈 With the release of Gunbot v3.3.3 the format of the logs changed and it was not possible to extract that information. Time-lapse: Gunbot v9 provides the information again, so I decided to update Gunbot-Monitor.
One thing a crypto trader has to face are bags. You or your bot bought high and the coin dropped by 20% to 60%. To handle this and be able to sell your bag with no loss, there is a method called "averaging down". You need a huge amount of free BTC and buy at the bottom again. This will average the bought price down to the lower price. You still need an increase of the price, but way less then before. The Gunbot offers this method as "Double Up" (called "DU" in the community) to do this automatically. But since it needs a lot of BTC, some people want to average der bags manually. The Average Down Helper is a tool to calculate those average prices.
